DC Superhero Girls
Cartoon Network afforded us total creative freedom to craft a suite of TV bumpers featuring the DC Superhero Girls. We jumped at the chance to reimagine them in a way that paid homage to their comic book origins.
Choosing paper as the creative medium evoked the tangible nature of physical comic books whilst allowing us to craft visually captivating compositions. The paper was meticulously layered and recessed to give depth to the animation. This approach also granted us the flexibility to play with layer timings, resulting in trailing animation sequences that added movement and intrigue to the visuals.

A distinct colour palette was created for each of the characters inspired by their appearance in the show, with each hero built up from the paper with precision and care. This method not only celebrated traditional craftsmanship but also conveyed a sense of energy and motion, delivering memorable, fun and striking bumpers.
